Newberry National Volcanic Monument

Newberry National Volcanic Monument

The Newberry National Volcanic Monument is comprised of many attractions. The first one I went to was Paulina Falls. Surprising to see fish so close to the waterfall itself. River itself is unique with levels of flat pools of water.

To get a view of the falls looking up and head on take the trail to the left that has a few switchbacks to get to the bottom. There is an observation deck down there.

Paulina Peak offer 360 views of the entire area. Getting there requires going up a long unpaved road that is steep and has lots of tight corners at the end. There is a short trail up there that goes along the ridge to the left of the lakes.
